Postby quintessentiallyenigmatic » February 19th, 2008, 1:36 pm

Hello 2nr's anyone who can offer help is more than welcome
did a diagnostic- problems Intake Air temp sensor.speed sensor, baro pressure,TPS
was able to rectify baro pressure by again servicing injectors, moved TPS to optimal position
bought second hand MAF (7 pin ) 605 worked great when tested as purchased next day same problems--- as soon as engine heats up 5 mins max mostly when i apply brakes sometimes not car seems to choke/hold back/ almost like gearing down/
did reset ecu 2 days later.....didn't do a test to confirm if maf working like it should....spent so much money already ...fed up...

is it still giving the same symptoms after the ecu reset? I had a similar prob on my 6a engine and there was moisture on the ecu. Give yours a check, might be possible...
Apparently the moisture was caused by condesation from the a/c and one or two drops made its way onto the ecu

at the time we sprayed some WD40 on it (not too much though) and just let it air out naturally. Didn't use any blow dryer as I didnt want any concentrated heat on the ecu. After an hour or so, it was put back together and problems were solved.

By very careful if you decide to open the ecu, i took a chance as I had no other choice..a damaged ecu will give a world of more problems
