Engine management question.

Postby marlener » March 14th, 2012, 8:57 pm

Hey tuners I am considering getting a engine management for my lil project, the thing is I am not sure which as yet.I have heard that the emanage blue and ultimate are good but they seem hard to tuner as I have been hearing quite a lot of people complaining that the can`t get them properly tuned. Was told that the Safc Neo is good but it does not handle ignition. Haltec and Microtec are pricey and I seen people getting problems to even get the cables to connect them to their laptops much less knowledgeable to tuner them.
So tuners what you have, what you recommend, where are the good tuners located?

What is your budget?
EMS' are not cheap, neither is good tuning.

You'll get a decent piggyback for that price, but piggybacks are very limited in what can be achieved.
What is your intended use/purpose?
You can probably try to score a used standalone, but at that price? good luck.

Well as I said is a small project, got a turbo charge march with a lsd gearbox, want to upgrade the turbo and injectors and then squeeze every bit of potential out of it,a piggyback is not out of the question, just want to know which is the recommended one.

depending on ur budget an power goals a greddy blue will work just fine, ultimate will work even better but its up to you. to tune its not that difficult either. i suggest to do some online research as well so u can have a better understanding of how the greddy emanage units work, and the differences between the blue an the ultimate.
