Ek4 auto transmission

Postby ek4ever » July 1st, 2017, 2:15 pm

Guys need some help in identifying the model transmission in auto Ek 4s. I've seen references to S4XA and a transmission shop told me it is the same auto transmission in the RD1 Crv which I also found reference to online. I'm also getting M24A as a model number. Can anyone confirm the model number?

Also where is the best place to get the transmission rebuilt? Was thinking Chaguanas Auto Supplies.

Thanks guys

Mine is 96-00 JDM. I saw another post here where the owner said his SiR was using the M24A. Gotta check the tranny itself to see if the model number is there

Bumping this as it's now time to rebuild.

Any recommendations for a transmission specialist to rebuild a S4XA auto in a SiR?

Flash was recommended

Did the rebuild by Keith Charles in Papourie Rd. Got it back within a week. Car is working beautifully, transmission shifts are quick and smooth, driving like new. Cost $4000 for labor to rebuild as I supplied my own rebuild kit. I would recommend if you going by him to get the kit there one time as the cost is almost the same.
