The new HRV is 200 - 300 for a new car ?
Why you gonna pay more that 50% for a 2 - 3yr old car

It debuted late 2013 in Japan.
Actually, the Vezel is a HRV with a 1500cc engine.
The Vezel comes hybrid also, the Hybrid X & Z, with engine and electric motor. It is possible that it will be the same drive system employed by the 1500cc Civic Hybrid.
About Hybrid vehicles importation into T&T:
If it is 2 years old or under at year of manufacture, you pay only 25% Customs Duty. No VAT, No MVT.
The cheapest from what I am seeing on reputable sites is a fully loaded 2014 model doing 23,000kms. Delivered, it would cost TT$189,000.
Obviously newer and lower mileage vehicle would cost more.
A 2016 Vezel Hybrid Z with 1,000kms is TT$194,000 delivered.
Point to note: At the moment it is cheaper to import a 2-year old Vezel Hybrid rather than the gasoline-only version.
So, you have an idea if you are spending your money well at the dealer.
Peace.
RR.

thanks for the reply red-dragon, chronic trinituner.. jdm vezels have more hp, air bags, 7 speed auto.. downside is if the hybrid battery give trouble.. gonna call some RORO part dealers if they stocking Vezel parts.. if the Govt take out the gas subsidy the Vezel is a good option.. ;p

Just a quick note ... The Hybrid system in the Vezel is not the same as Toyota's system.
Its more radical, it uses a 7 speed Dry Dual clutch transmission with an electric motor built into the DCT.
So far there have been a number of recalls on this transmission due to software problems.
I think you should worry more about the transmission rather than the hybrid batteries. The Fit and Vezel Hybrid was supposed to go to Europe a year after the vehicles were released in Japan but have not yet made it due to the recalls and problems.
So my advice is stay away for the moment. Buy a prius if you must buy a hybrid.

why do people think the hybrid vehicles need some special kind of servicing? it's the same parts, same consumables. the only thing different is the battery.
the most you might need is someone to diagnose the error codes if you ever get any...
Other than that it's a regular vehicle.

Its not the same parts and its not the same vehicle ... The JDM hybrid Vezel is very different from Thai HRV.
Transmission, engine, ecu, electrified drive-train (someone can actually shock themselves and have a cardiac arrest if you messing around in the engine bay and you have no clue about working on electrified vehicles) and even down to the interior lighting is different ....

It's a really nice vehicle. It's a different drive than a regular vehicle.
Make sure and get the model with Honda sensing!
