Anyone one here who owns a honda city still under warranty and installed a wired GPS?
According to ansamcal doing that would void warranty as it messes with the electrical system, can I get anyone take on this of who ignored them and still installed the GPS...

They changed the mileage to 5000k?
such a rip off as it was 10k back in december 2016, there was no need to change oil and filter that soon for a vehicle running CNG, guess that's how they making MORE money now..

Yeah they did. Did 5k service in March, was told next service at 15 k or six months which would have been September. Car was doing 9k when I took it to service in September, was told after that next service is 15 k or December. It’s service interval is 5 k or every 3 months.

Hey guys I'm new here I have a 2015 Honda City CNG (about 100K) I usually service at ANSA service centre Port of Spain, on my last service I asked them to check my CNG system as on two occasions switchover to CNG did not occur, after the service (80K) they told me that the system was working fine, now the same thing has happened again, in the past when the issue occurred (2 times previously) it would just switch over the next day. However it has been a day going on 2 now and nothing, any suggestions? I am thinking it could be the solenoid valve by the tank because I don't hear the click it makes when it switches over on a couple instances when I heard it trying to switch.

the CNG Regulator needs to be changed and CNG Filter. Same thing happened to me good thing I got them to change free under the warranty as it would be very costly.

Happen to me today where the CNG system did not switched over and the switch was only blinking. This was because of the hot weather. The CNG gas expanded and locked up at the rail creating a higher pressure than usual. The fix came where I removed the batrery pole then removed one side of the short hose which goes to the rail. In conclusion the high pressure was released and the CNG system is functioning normal.

Guys took mine in for service yesterday, mileage was just over 18k. They told me that they needed to change transmission oil as it needs to change every 20k . As a long time Honda owner, sounds strange to me. Also they still insist that vehicle needs to service every 5k or 3months. Thoughts?

Not sure about how those machines are broken in from factory, but a sooner than customary oil change fir new gears, seems reasonable.

For break in process I understand, but they are saying every 20k it needs to be changed. As in 20, 40,60,80etc.

I dunno. I think an external tranny cooler might be more useful than so frequent an oil change.

Are the changing the tranny oil filter/mesh/screen thingy, with that oil too?

My girl has a Honda City going on 2 years and is experiencing the same regulator, CNG filter and high pressure issues as in posts above. If you are considering purchasing a new Honda City I would recommend just looking at another car. The rate at which the filter, regulator and pressure will get too high is ridiculous.

Hey I’m thinking to get the city cng...absolutely love this car...
1. does the side mirrors close when the engine is switched off? Or u have to physically push them een

2. The issues that were mentioned (regulator/car not switching over to cng/high pressure etc) how much will this cost to repair (estimated) outside of the firm.
3. Aside from this issue is it a really good car?

It does mess with the electrical a few owners have complained that a fuse was blown at the battery terminal and caused them some headaches
I suggest a wireless solution

The side mirrors are manual ( push in )

With regard to the high pressure issues I have mines since April 2017 and have been experiencing this as well. If you need any help PM me I'll explain what to do as I got professional help on the issue which takes 2 mins to fix.

Saw a few statements regarding the CNG filter. Will attempt to provide some clarification, as I am a dealer for these filters.

The Honda City has an OEM installed CNG system. It is equipped with a filter for the CNG, similar to conversion cars.

The filter on the City is recommended to be replaced as follows:
Initial replacement - within the first 20,000-25,000km. This allows for the system to 'break-in'.
All replacements after - 50,000-75,000km

The above is highly dependant on burn rate of CNG. If you get a bad batch, or the system has a contaminant, the filter will get 'dirty' quickly. This will cause excessive CNG burn as the system will lose it efficiency. Failure to replace filter on time, or if it has become 'dirty', will cause damage to other more costly components eg. the regulator, injectors, etc. These can be purchased for $800 (original).

The filters referred to for $350 is installed on the conversion cars and are usually priced these days for $400. Similarly, these must be replaced on time to prevent damage to the system. These are usually replaced at between 13,000-20,000km depending on the brand.

Additionally, if the car is working properly, the filter must be replaced on time as it is a consumable with a finite life spa . The inner element wears down and can clog the injectors, causing damage.

Further to this, your car's air filter must be replaced on time as CNG is highly dependant on air quality. Applies to OEM and conversion cars.

Okay so this thread made me 80% certain about buying this Honda CNG and we’re in 2023 lol.
I just don’t like the way it looks that much so I’ll invest in a body kit when the time is right, and mods for the lights. But it seems like a pretty good first car, a few friends bought it as their first as well, brand new. Seems worth it with the savings as opposed to 3-400 twice a month for a busy driver that likes ac.
