I have a d15b carb engine.
i want to know if it is possible to swap my intake manifold, and put in a fuel injector system, if that is possible. and what are some of the consequences if any?

Just lots of little parts to get... it's a pain really, especially for a DIYer.

You will need all kinda stuff... ecu, harnesses, evap cannister, vacuum lines, fuel pump..blah blah blah...

Yes, it is possible. Use a Civic Si for your parts, or just go to this site. :

I feel it would be worth it if you can find the parts fairly cheap(Ebay, etc.)It mostly involves swapping 6 or so wires around from the ECU and running wiring to the 2 new injectors. Do you have a true carb, or do you have a DPFI? There is a difference!

DPFI is dual point fuel injection
MPFI is multi point fuel injection
I'm not sure about the car to MPFI, but I imagine it is possible if you get the same parts.

ummmmm jus asking a few :?:

why you bothering to go through all that stress for a d motor?

wouldnt it jus be better to save for a lil longer and invest in a b?

or are you jus trying to gain some experience/DIY points as you tackle the issue in your daily ride?

cool 8)

I suppose it is best to start out with a fairly inexpensive motor to replace if something goes wrong. I would like to have a B-series, but it's $$$ I don't have. And what you learn on this motor will help you in the future! As far as your carb goes, stephanweaver, I would check that site out and ask around if it's possible, but I don't see why not.
