Hearing different things from different people about whether or not you can adjust the valves on the b16a but if anyone has done it in the past, can you recommend a good mechanic? north/central preferably. thanks! *** hearing noisy 'tappets' so want to see what can be done ***

Any mechanic can do a valve adjustment... you can even do it yourself at home with some tools.
do a search on google or something...

Disclaimer: If you are not mechanically inclined... and/or don't want or intend to be... don't bother with a valve adjustment and just take it to a mechanic. A valve adjustment is an easy job, but it is not simple and requires understanding basic tools and mechanics. Even if you do it, there is a possibility that you will do a 'so-so' job as it sometimes takes practice to do it properly. It's not like an changing a wheel or your oil.
