D15b CVT transmission problem

good day tuners...have a D15b non vtec EK hatch
im guessing the transmission is CVT cuz it have sports n economy mode.
When im in drive n i step on the gas...the car revs first then after like 2 second or so it'll pick up n accelerate VERY hard.Also when im driving the econ light on the dash comes on at time den goes off...but it dont blink constantly or neting....ANY help???

you can clean or replace your tranny filter that may help

wow....good stuff der bro...guess ill hada try cleaning my filter now n c if i get rid of de slipping problem

yes clean the filter or replace. there actually is a diy right in this forum. the lack of fluid flowing thru the filter makes the pressure take long to build hence the delay.

i clean the filter yes2day...n the tranny works abt 80% better...where could i get this filter to buy...think i wana replace it

Honda cvt transmissions also have a program sequence that needs to be done for the transmission to work properly. If you ever removed the battery power, it will lose the program. Symptoms incl delayed take off, bucking while taking off, delayed gear engage. Check around for honda experienced mechs to see who knows how to reprogram it. Check autonation n see. There's a guy in pos that does it.

I quite disagree on that. Disconnecting the battery hasn't provided any problems for me whatsoever, including swapping in a completely different CVT....

Guess it doesn't always lose it that easily then. However I programmed them myself previously for more than one cvt but can't rem the sequence anymore. Got it from official honda tech back then.
