Postby khandman » July 13th, 2013, 7:23 am

Guys looking for some help. So check light came on, vehicle idling at 1500rpm from start and not dropping much. Fluctuating between 1400 and 1500. Mech scanned and said throttle body needed changing. Bought and changed but still same problem. No difference. Now he saying he feel is the brain. I feel like he guessing. Any help is very appreciated. It is a D15b non vtec cvt.

if yuh check light is on then most likely the oxygen sensor needs to be replaced. Pursue the check light FIRST.Check for vaccum leaks(makes a hissing sound),IACV needs cleaning (back of the intake manifold) and the FITV. (its under the throttle body and tends to work its way out sometimesand allow too much air in the engine). Carry the FITV by a honda mechanic and let him clean it out and adjust it for u so you won't have no idle issue for a while.
