B16a Rattle

Ive got a B16a that gives a little annoying rattle when you accelerate, the sound of the engine overpowers it, but under slow acceleration E.G. moving out of a parking lot i hear the rattling sound. Under the hood it seems like its coming from somewhere around the intake by where the injectors are. When it idles you dont hear it, but accelerate to about 3k rpm and you hear the rattle.

The rattle is also consistent with the RPM range, what i mean is the faster i go the more it rattles, until the engine/vtec sound overpowers it. Besides that ive got no other problems its just that i hope the sound isnt some form of impending engine doom.

check around the intake to see if any brackets are lose .........did u do any mechanical work on the car recently ?

hey man thanks for responding. a mech said its probably the tappets he then adjusted them and the rattle noise stopped now the car has an inconsistent and sometimes a rough idle, gonna check one of these honda mechs on the forums and see what the deal is
