A Boddy of mine have a honda civic with a cvt transmittion On reverse geat it has a delay about 2 sec and then goes into gear. but he checked the oil to see if the clutches is burnt . But it didnt smell like if the clutches is burnt but on the drive gear it has no delay i dont know if its the sensor or the oil have to be change or the oil pressure has a breakage on it
I've been having same problem for quite a long time now as well , same cvt civic, been changing the fluid every yr since i got it 8 yrs ago.Mechanic said to change the transmission filter but I've read its inside the transmission so that was a no no,anyone else can enlighten us.
Filter can be cleaned with carb spray , i had a CVT it was bucking when pulling off , cleaned the filter and flushed the tranny twice to get out all d gunk worked like new ......
