overheating issues in 1999 honda civic

Realize water in radiator overflow bottle starts to bubble while car is idling . temperature gauge remains at half.Bottom hose on the radiator gets really hot. What can be the problem?

when last did u change ur radiator cap?

rad cap or rad needs cleaning
