get titanium vavle springs and retainer, cam gears, ecu mods will be, vtec change may move up 100 tuh 500, add 500 tuh 800 to ur redline, may 2% tuh 5% added fuel, play with the timing, i can't recall the changes for timing and play cam gears last. this is if u plan to go all out...
but i say get titanium vavle springs and retainer (i have them down as a must) in all my builds i have seen them saved motors.

Yeah i know bout the valve springs. What i wanna know about really is the ECU mods like fuel and timing..........I have a VAFC and wanna know how to set the fuel or is it necessary to chip the ECU?

Stage 1,2 or 3 cams?
OBD0,1 or 2?
If you goin stage 3 cams, you will NEED fuel management and/or some sort of chipped ECU.
...and as the man say: springs and cam gears and take 'em to the dyno.
Dont trust your 'Butt' dyno and your VAFC, spend some cash and get peace of mind.

But remember Stage 3 came are more for full race cars.. dont think they would be ideal for daily driven cars...

if u have a OBDII ecu u will need to move tuh ODBI if you want to chip, (note) need i talk about chipping i mean put the car on ah dyno and build ur very own chip.
the plus in that is that i get to play with ur timing also, the vafc only gives you fuel setting and vtec shift points.
and as CLERIQ said, dyno it, better to see than tuh feel
but tuh answer ur question, add 5% in vtec, better to be rich than lean,
but again really... dyno, u will not be guessing.
and if u plan on chipping u will not need the vafc

If anyone in Trini running "stage 3" or something along the lines of Toda Spec C VTEC Killers, I doubt they drive the car on a daily basis, esp. in traffic

CBR HONDA....................those cams you have right now, you cant just drop them in and expect to get power. If you dial in those cams wrond, you would never make power. The manufacturer advises that you get it DYNO TESTED............... and not on a butt dyno ehh!!!!! Hell, i wished i could of gotten cams like that to work with my engine, but you know how it is..........................piston isues. Call the manufacturer.

Jimbo, the 'Vtec killer' cams are straight up race cams that completely bypass the primary lobe and just run a big vtec lobe... they are 100% un-streetable.
The cams cbr has, however, will make power just by bolting them in... but the power band will be spikey since the big lift and duration of the new cams do not match the fuel table the ecu is running. It's likely the primary lobe of the cam is the same as stock, but if it's not, the car will run even more erratically. You MUST get at least aftermarket cam gears and have them degree'd and dialed in on a dyno.
If the primarly lobe measurements are stock, then you will need to do all the tuning on the vtec side.... the cam gear adjustments will determine your power band once set... you will then need to have an experienced tuner make adjustments to your fuel mapping AND ignition mapping to make the most of the new sticks.... but just making the cam and fuel adjustments will make a BIG difference from what you're feeling now.
BTW... I hope you upgraded the springs already, aftermarket cams make power up top for the most part... so you'd best raise your redline if you want to be impressed....
