Transmission Noise.... in 'PARK' and 'NEUTRAL'

Postby ray d saint » June 25th, 2012, 6:57 am

when i start the car... it sounds like a bearing noise.... but is only in "P" and "N" when the car is in R, D4, D3, 2 or 1 there is no noise.

Can some one please guide me to a mechanic so i can have this fixed. i jus only replaced the diff and speed sensor in this said transmission.

Engine: F20B SC non vtec.

Thanks.

Ok...

so Fareed came and saw/listen to the problem i have.... now we have other problems.

Things i need

1. a gasket seal kit for the transmission (paper seals)
2. 'idler' bearing (iirc) that is what he called it.

Mind you this is the cable type transmission.... i am considering jus buying a electronic transmission and re wiring it to work... don't know if that is practical. reason being Fareed said the seal kit is a bit hard to come by as u have to open the transmission first and take the transmission housing to make sure the kit is the correct one. Bearings and other items are available...

Advise welcomed.
