fog light repair

Good day fellas, my fog light lens broke recently, can the glass be replace? or do i have to change the complete fog? I google it, some forums showed repair using lexan/polycarbonate sheet, will this take the heat of the bulbs? If i go through this route, what sealant should i use? silicone? or can the repair be done by one of those places that make mirrors, and cut glass etc.? the car is an 01 es8 civic, thanks in advance for any advice....

actually i went to a place that sells glass when mine broke and replaced it with a piece of thick glass....have HID in my fogs and it taking they heat,,...they install glass with sealant etc..
