Good day tuners...i recently got an es8 civic and i noticed that the back in the car is very 'bouncy'. The person i purchased the car from said they changed the shocks recently, and i inspected the bushings and they look good. On rough roads, the car doesn't bounce, but on humps,or dips in the roads, undulating surfaces (highway) the car feels like its floating. Is this normal for the es8 models? I noticed the car has a rear anti - sway bar on it, could this cause this? Also if this is normal for this model, what can be done to reduce this 'floating' feel?

I have an ES5 and get the same kinda ride. Especially on that "smooth" piece of road just before claxton bay flyover heading south.
However, since I bought this car RORO (Dec 2007) it has been like that. I did a suspension check right after purchase and everything was normal. I even changes shocks and no improvement. One point to note is that since Dec. 2007 the ride has not changed for worse, so go figure...
So, to add a question to RISM's question, did any of the ES owners who put 17's on their vehichles experience a change given whatever setup that was used??

i have a es5 and i experience the same problem. i guess this is a fault in these cars just like the steering rack. the only fix i have heard is to lower!

lower using which method? lowering springs? or coilovers? also what exactly is the problem? are the oem springs too stiff or too soft? these cars does already touch on humps with the original ride height, imagine when lowered, lol.....

Have you guys tried changing your springs?? shocks arent really responsible for that kina bounce unless the car is lowered. if the shocks are bad it wud giv a sudden sharp impact on a depression. I you choose to lower, I have had dropzone lowering springs on all my hondas and its da BEST. ps do not ever put coilovers on your cars, it rides like sheit they shoudn even manufacture dat again.
