i hav a b16a ...changed d iacv for one i bought on ebay....d one ihad b4 was trowin d chk engine lite n i knew it had gone bad cuz i tested d coil......it was below spec.....wen i got the used one from ebay i saw sum black soot in it but didnt bother to clean it .....i jus wanted to put it on n make sure it was not trowin d chk engine lite.....i ran it a few days n it was workin okay....den i started usin d ac n noticed dat d idle was fluctuatin......so i figured i had to clean d iacv....but didnt wana go tru takin it off n puttin it back on wit silicone...jus didnt hav time....d used one i got does not hav d mesh on d "in" side....i blew sum car spray into it d oda day n ran it ....it sounded alot better n i idled d car back down to 750rpm....im still gettin d erratic idle wen d ac is on....even wen i take off the ac......it would rev up for itself.....its pissin me off!!!...but im sure il hav to take it off n clean it...someday

i had the same problem a while back i have a d15z4 i wen through all d sheit clean icav take it apart soak the TB all that still was erratic wit the a/c on funny thing i said to hell wit that so weeks passed to my a/c to get gas up n they told me my a/c fan wasn't working at speed like the normal speed that an a/c fan worked at but to me it was lookiing like it workin buh i said wat d hell n i went home n change d fan an suprisingly that was it for me the idle went back to normal after that so check wit an ac man first n see.. if not check idle speed motor or compessor switch and also spray some carb spray on vacuum lines to see if its a leak other than that check an ac man see if ur fan is up to speed that was my experience with bad a/c idling with a/c on

ok fellas i cleaned out the iacv....it solved d problem where it over reving in gear....car idles at 750rpms n wit ac on it goes up to about 850-900rpms...i tink dis is spec...il lower d idle screw a little ...funny ting is dat wen i now cleaned it out n did d ecu reset procedure...d car still gave me sum probs......i ran it on d hiway at normal speeds....normal i say......jeje....n d nx day d car purrin great..no more over reving...i guess it has to re-learn d idle with sum normal driving conditions...tanx for the info fellas...
