Engine Check Light On in EK3 Civic

Postby dluxfan » June 10th, 2011, 12:14 am

Tuners I have a Civic EK3 issue. A few days ago, I noticed my engine (D15B standard) check light comes on everytime I start the vehicle and it remains lit once the vehicle is on and running. This never occurred before, I did a diagnostic check and no errors were detected in the result.

The EK3 works normal as before and there is no sound or performance changes that I’ve noticed at all. Once the civic is on this light is always illuminated.

Any advice?

alexfos101 about 2yrs ago i did the last engine wash and the check light was on for a day or two and then disappeared, I guess water in it had to dry off completely and then it never came back until now. Since then no engine wash was done and surely no coolant leaks either.... this thing is hard to pinpoint and frustrating... :?

Thank you red_dragon!
I followed the link and I got an error code 65 for the check light.
Although the ABS does not illuminate at any point after start up/driving, I got Four codes for it...61, 16, 17, 54
I guessing as the ABS light don't illuminate when driving it may not be anything severe and can perhaps be overlooked? :?
I will look into the engine check light error code. Thanks again

Error code 65 - Oxygen Sensor Heater (Secondary)
malfunctioning or defective oxygen sensor heater

Does anyone know exactly where this sensor is located in the ek3?
