Hi Everyone,
Sometime last year my engine light came on and I did a scan which pointed to a pending misfire in cylinder 3 in my k20A (2.0 L) Honda Stream. I replaced all the coil packs, cleared the code and the problem was apparently solved. About a month later the light came on again. I put on my scanner and saw that I was getting the code PO300 (Random, Multiple Misfire detected), PO301 (Cylinder 1 misfire detected), PO302 (Cylinder 2 misfire detected), PO303 (Cylinder 3 misfire detected) pending and PO304 (Cylinder 4 misfire detected). I changed my good iridium plugs (which I miss) and put back the traditional plugs ( Denso U groove KJ20DR-M11) but the problem remained. When I start my car in the morning, I sometimes get a chug, chug before it starts. I don't get any misfiring, the sound at the exhaust is a purring one and water comes out the exhaust showing that the fuel is burning as it should. The car works well, acceleration is good, climbing is effortless. The iridium plugs were burning good with no sign of carbon deposits and so too are the traditional ones. I have a feeling that the problem is related to the chug, chug before starting.
Can anyone give me some suggestions? I would be most thankful since I want to fix it myself. I drive it everyday with the stupid light on since I know what the problem is. I might be gong this week to clean the injectors to see if this would help. I cleaned the throttle body at the end of Dec last year but this did not help. Yesterday I went down south and cruised at 140 KPH with no problems.
