Ek5 gas pedal problem

The gas pedal in my civic is stiff. When i floor d x the speedometer takes its merry time to build speed whereas the tachometer boosts normal. Does the kick down or gas cable needs adjusting or slackening ?. The engine iis a b16a and tranny. Any assistance is welcomed. Thanx !!

try slackening the kickdown cable.....if that doesn't help then i suppose it sounds like a tranny problem....can't be sure tho,try the cable thing tho
