please help.... SiR troubles

i was comming over santa cruz into maraval and while turning a corner i hear a snap...i began hearing some noise comming from outside the car and it sounded like a leak in the tyre but there was no pressure loss nothing ..the noise gets faster as i accelerate and when i stopped tyres were good n engine was running fine... i put the car in gear n rev to see if its a gearbox problem n its fine ... but only when i move the car makes noise n its seem to have gotts worse when i parked the car ....i need to know if this could be the axle or gearbox cradle ..... plz help
