Power Steering Rack - 2001 honda civic vti

Postby jala » December 8th, 2009, 9:31 am

Dear Friends,

I am a newbie here, with a few small problems I hope to get resolved her..

I bought a reconditioned 2001 honda civic Vti 12 months ago and I have had a rattling in the front suspension ever since....the dealer doesn't care and sadly we don't have laws to compel him....I have changed LCA, struts, stabiliser bushings, strut mount (without bearings), all to no avail....

yesterday I went to another "big shot" mechanic and he said it is the power steering rack that is dead.....

Now where can I get a replacement from, at a reasonable price in trinidad...?(new or used-in good condition)

passed M&N in the bamboo about a week ago to get parts for my ES8...

they have a front cut with the Electric Power Steering... they took out Air filter box and master cylinder for me... so I suppose you could inquire bout the EPS.

Please call GPS, his mechanic may be able to solve this problem without changing rack.

I have educated them how to solve problems with the EPS rack since 2004 when I was the maintenance business.
