Close-to-production version of this (FT-86) was seen at the Tokyo motor show

Looks different, hopefully they make it turbo, 2.0 NA drift car does not make sense in today's market

whey?..ITR still gonna be able to beat that Subaru/Toyota combo :!: ....it sad how 2 manufacturers have to come together in order to beat the superior NA technology of Honda's VTEC..Why didn't Toyota stick to the Celica and try to develop on that platform seeing that it was also a front wheel drive car with a NA engine (VVTI, again imitation VTEC!!)..and as RacersEdge said imitation is the sincerest from of flattery...i think they should call it the Toyobaru ITR (Imitation Type R)  ..waste of time..and another thing..if this car is released on the market, let's jus wait and see how the buyer demand is and how long will it hold for..the
ITR has been around since '96...i give them 2 years max!!.they're using the ITR as a benchmark..meaning they're hoping that they can meet the performance, styling, power of the ITR 8-)
