ABS light on

Help! I have a 97 coupe...Tried leaving the battery pole off overnight, didn't help. Sensors on brakes seem intact... brakes work normally-(haven't tried panic stop!) any thoughts?

check your tyres and rims etc

theres a main electrical connector in the rightside of the engine bay for the abs...mines was disconnected ....maybe you can check that.

if the wheel sensors are good, what about the ABS module itself?
u tried doing a diagnostic check?

Reset the computer by disconnecting the battery terminals and touching the cables ,have you done any work on the car recently :?:

the ecu does not reset the abs computer

I changed a abs sensor once and the light remained on the reset the brain and it came of ,worth a try though

Thanks Guys...two things I haven't done yet : check the plug in the engine bay and the diagnostic. I was trying to sort it out without having to go to Autonation$$$ LOL ...I will check the engine bay later and let you all know

if you have a helms service manual, it tells you how to diagnosis abs

Sorted!! got the answer from a manual I downloaded right here on tuner... turned out to be a fuse (RR DEF RLY) in the underdash fusebox.
