Honestly, I don't rate the skunk2 header or cams

Depends on your budget really, but Bisimoto makes the best headers and cams for Honda applications
Judging by the other parts, you are not one to cheap out, so definitely look into this and your car will thank you

^ I have not seen any K20 cams for sale on their site but they have a dyno chart

best cams thus far for the K20 is IPS nothing else matters
Best thus far for the B-series - Skunk

Bisimoto header is nice

the dyno charts they post up are like everyone else

eg.. http://www.bisimoto.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=413

most will know that is the hytech

which was really designed for the built B20 ... which they did not compare too

props to them for the SOHC and CRZ

but they have not done things no one else did or tried in the past

CD4Accord DO you own a DC5 or a K20? have you tried Skunk2 parts headers or cams?
What have you tried Bisimoto products on?

no1 manufacturer is the best in Honda do your home work

I actually have a custom built level 1.5 Bisimoto cam in the accord thank you very much..
Skunk2 cam gear interestingly, but that was purely based on economics...

I obviously have not tested every single brand to be able to tell you the difference, but I have about 8 years experience on Honda-Tech, and nearly all the bigshots and big builds end up relying on Bisimoto headers, valvetrain and cams..
I have seen some good results on skunk2 as well, but I prefer the less mass produced option (Bisi)..

^ what were the power gains with the " custom cam"

and since when etune year does count ...

HT peeps are haters and most you find are skunk2 build or Rocket motorsports for cams

maybe in the SOHC world Bisi is king.. but for now in the B-series world RM , Skunk , kelford for Drag .. Toda , Jun circuit .. nothing else matters

for K-Series - IPS and Skunks.. fire bun all else

BTW - 5yrs experience E-building a Boosted B18 - 600whp and NA B16 - 170whp and counting, K20 and lotta B18C

E-tune FTW

I can't give you an exact gain from the level 1.5 cam because I did a fair amount of mods around the same time... I got a gain of 29whp between the cam, tuning, intake, header, exhaust...
Reason that it is a "custom" cam.. I had to send in an original F20B2 cam to Bisi to design mine.. He never built for this engine before, so he charged me no extra to custom design.. Also did not charge me extra to do the 1.5 instead of say a stage 1 or 2..
2 was not really an option at the time because I couldn't send in springs for spec comparison.. So 1.5 runs on the stock valvetrain

From what most people say, I could expect about ~17-20hp of that to be from the cam at that level..

I'll try re-dynoing within the next few months after I make a few changes.. I will be sure to keep you posted...

I agree with you that each has their relative strengths.. .I being SOHC will always look to bisi before anything else, but I personally just prefer dealing with the smaller companies... Its just personal opinion and not everyone is expected to follow..

^ did you ever do a base run ?
I got a gain of 29whp between the cam, tuning, intake, header, exhaust...

that is what you expect or what you got ?

If you get that from those mods hats off

"From what most people say, I could expect about ~17-20hp of that to be from the cam at that level.. "

imagine what their stage 3 would give 40+ hp

Nice

my 2cents my build may not apply but this is just for info and proof that product works I recently did a skunk2 intake and TB and gained almost 55whp and 80tq at the same boost level and my TQ grapgh is straight across the board no dips not even after 8500rpm.

as a owner of S2P2, i am very happy with them, plus tuned a few other B motors with S2 sticks and will recommend them to any B owner, i have not worked on K with S2 sticks, so i can't comment.
S2 has a cookbook that you can work and it is very well done by added to that their over the phone support is top.

just trying to widen the options of tuners sorry if i offended anyone it was not my intention.
i haven't tuned any k series as yet buddy , but i have tuned standalones and piggybacks alike on various Japanese motors
understanding how the k series engines work is the real issue , u have to spend time on the dyno and tune the cam phasing 0-50 deg on the intake cam, IG and Fuel tables for each phase with out pushing the advance too far in aftermarket cams (no physical cam stops like stock) for fear of piston to valve contact
the k pro is not above me, the software is user friendly , any good tuner can adapt to it.

my personal cars are starlets, one has a power fc making over 300whp on pump gas and the next haltech e6x making some more.
