Help....
I recently changed to block in my engine..CF9 f20 b....the engine drives fine... however there is a constant humming noise... the mechanic says its the power steering pump..... since air got into it when they disconnected the lines.. and it would eventually go away. .however i think that if that were the case the noise would increase in intensity when you lock the steering... but its almost constant.. in addition there is a slight , very slight miss..when the car when the car is idling..
The car accelerates fine and everything , but the humming nois e is always there... no check light comes on ..
Another mechanic told me it could be the tensioner on timming belt or a tensioner bearing ... which could lead to alot of problems... i am at sea when it comes to these things .. so if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated..
