Re: Bucking when slowing down or stopping

I've found the cuplrit and I'm now in need of a replacement of same. It being the cold start valve located on the throttle body. Apparently its not wise to spray throttle body cleaner in the throttle body as said cleaner affects the wax thats in the cold start valve. Does anyone know where I can sou...

Re: Bucking when slowing down or stopping

So I switched out the idle air control valve solenoid (17630-11050) as well as the map sensor aka turbo pressure sensor assembly (89420-10020). The car will idle fine at first and then start to idle low and sometimes the idle picks up and drops. The car still acts up when I press heavy on the x whil...

Re: Bucking when slowing down or stopping

I know this thread is old but I'm getting the same bucking problem.... When I start the car first thing in the morning the rpm drops considerably and the engine behaves like it wants to cut off.... It'll eventually correct itself after awhile. 2) Whenever I'm in traffic and a/c on and in drive.... t...

Re: Flasher for Tercel

I' checked Auto Village and they didn't have it, I've yet to check the other places, anyways, I' went ahead and bought it online. It should be in my possession by next week, so I'll settle for the fast flash until then.

Re: Flasher for Tercel

I checked 4 different places in POS and no one had the LED flasher relay available, only 2 pin universal ones. Is there anywhere in Trinidad (and please doh tell quite-o quite-o) that sells the LED 3 pin flasher relays? (I found it btw, its behind the instrument panel).

Flasher for Tercel

I installed some LED bulbs in my car today (turn signal etc) only to realize that it flashes rapidly indicating that a bulb has blown, yet they are lighting, I did some research and realized that the OEM flasher will not recognize that the bulbs are working due to the LED bulbs having a higher resis...

Your speedometer nah working? It could be the cable broke or the meter itself malfunction. You should try another instrument panel.

I'd suggest checking for any error codes, I'm no expert but there are resources available to show you how to check. I'm guessing its an OBD1 engine?. The following thread shows you how

Re: Joy, water outlet housing bolt broke off.

I went to Trinidad Hose this morning and I was told to get auto connectors and they will make up one for me, but the silicone hoses will suffice for now. They should be at my end by next week God's willing.

Re: Joy, water outlet housing bolt broke off.

I called Trinidad Hose and had a chat with them regarding an appropriate replacement for the turbo water lines. The guy who works there suggested silicone hoses but they do not have any. I made a few calls here and there and discovered that there are places selling such hoses however only in kits to...

Re: Joy, water outlet housing bolt broke off.

Thanks, Hook, I got a 10mm bolt 2 inches long, so in the morning bright and early I shall reassembled the water housing back on the block, one question tho. I noticed the rubber hoses used as the turbo water lines were steel braided hoses. Is it possible to use normal hoses in its place? or should I...

Re: Joy, water outlet housing bolt broke off.

So no one eh? Its ok though, I've managed to carry d water housing by ä machine shop and rethread the place where the broken bolt was and going to use ä two inch quarter inch bolt in its place, This is short term remedy as the housing will take 6 weeks to get from TTTL. I would prefer ä 10mm bolt 2i...
