IB is like a catch22 situation, because of the limitations of the woofer. the more you seek output...

Re: Assistance needed

i had this same problem with my 4g15gdi and if thats what you have then, your car is operating in failsafe control mode....you need to have the car scanned and see what error code comes up. its not the "throttle body" per say but there may be an issue with the throttle servo control ie. &q...

Re: The Official CS Lancer Thread!

if it's the GDI you have an e throttle and not cable so you will not have a step up motor What is the problem you are experiencing experiencing erratic idle with the 4g15 gdi. so i was searching and found that theres not icv on the gdi. so i am wondering now what is causing it. going to clean the e...

Re: My kick panel build.

ok..fair enuff but how does the system sound at low volumes? the sound must be linear, and from what you have described it may not be...at least as much as it should. i can understand the logic that ur using but the system should also be linear. dont worry about it being flat....that is never always...

Re: My kick panel build.

Nerve : well firsly power on tap does not determine whether its a sq oriented system or not. There have been local cars that have 300w per tweeter. i can see the xo points listed above working, although i think you may be benifiting from cabin gain ...you have to ensure proper phasing as well but if...

Re: My kick panel build.

Nigel well he did say that he was not into sq prolly like you and i may be. but my concern is that he may have done himself a dis-service by potentially haveing to engage the sub at a high frequency, (because the mids may not be able to go low enuff) thus makeing it harder to gain the depth that he...

Re: My kick panel build.

op

if the sub is crossed at 40 on 18db where is the hp for the kick....i cant see that getting much below 100hz without being muddy (haveing used that exact midwoofer myself) and with such a sharp rolloff of the sub thats a large gap to fill.

just trying to help...

Re: My kick panel build.

those kick pods are too small for the lower end extension you may be accustommed to. they would need to vent into a large enough cavity of some sort.

can you explain the way you have them vented? what size vent hole etc...
