Agreed on the threadlocker... Some nice permatex or loctite could save you a lot of headache later on down the road

Re: Sport Mode on a CVT

I used to use it to get the car to rev easier when I had to overtake in the 1.3 fit.. Most of the power (88 hp or something) was above 4000 rpm so I wanted it to reach that faster...

Re: Need advice - what engine upgrade for CD4 Accord w/ F20B

Well ive seen a few bluetop F20's around so presumably some of them would have had T2T4's... If you look hard enough im sure you can find it locally, would probably be cheaper than importing too... Would be nice if you can find it though because im sure you know it comes with factory LSD (as does th...

Re: Recomendations for 4x4 tyres

Just bought a 2000 Toyota Hilux Surf (TDI) here in Jamaica and it has Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tyres in 265/75/16. All I can say is that these are the most aggressive all terrains I have ever seen without being full mudders. Road manners are quite impressive for something with this sort of compete...

Re: tyres

Just bought some Kumho Solus KH17 in Jamaica 225/60/16 for $12,000 JMD each. aka 715TT each.
How much so would that run back in Trinidad?

PS. All the other brands such as Maxxis etc were more than the Kumho

Re: Need advice - what engine upgrade for CD4 Accord w/ F20B

Nope, ATTS won't work to my knowledge without the correct ECU and wiring etc, but you can buy a non-LSD box (M2A4) and add a GOOD aftermarket LSD after for about 600-700 usd. By good, I mean quaife or such brands, not OBX. I just like the idea that I have the option. Personally, if I do the M2A4 swa...

Re: Need advice - what engine upgrade for CD4 Accord w/ F20B

I have seen the boxes in the 3000-4000 range without LSD. That does not count the cost of all the other things you will require for the swap

Re: Need advice - what engine upgrade for CD4 Accord w/ F20B

well, the gearbox from any F or H series Honda will do for you nicely. The boxes from H22 (eg M2A4) have shorter gearing than the F series equivalent and if you look hard enough you can find some (eg M2B4) with factory LSD (big help in solodex) You would also have the knowledge that you good to go i...

Re: RALLY JAMAICA 2013

Rally was good fun today, but some proper usage of the internet would have made it a lot easier to figure out what stages were being run and in what order etc... Still a great time in the orange groves though

Will discuss it more when I am sober and rested

Re: Wiper Blade review thread.

Michelin Stealth is supposed to be their mid priced option. The thing with the Michelin frameless I have found is that they are great... for about 4-6 months then they start skipping...

I actually found the regular michelin to work a lot better for my purposes

Take a read and decide.. The Kumho KU31 (aka SPT) are not an excellent tyre but they are certainly above average..

Delo is usually considered to be an excellent value option. If you stick to your oil change interval, the Delo will do you quite well. Pricesmart I presume?

Re: tyres

Strugglerz, I been using the same Kumho KU31 for about 2-3 years now but not very much distance driven on that car.. Maybe 15,000km tops. They are a little less than halfway worn. I found with the kumho that the key is to keep them properly inflated because the side treads tend to wear MUCH faster t...

Both are certainly above average.. If I had to guess, the Toyo will likely be a bit more grippy but will not last you as long ... Not that either is really built for longevity to begin with..

I think I got some of the Total 4 x 4 in 5w-40 before... Will have to double check that for you next time I am in the country...

Concerning the Rubia line.. Do we get anything above the TIR 7400 in Trinidad?
