Thinks that make you STEUPPPSSSS....

So, I spend about 4 hours day before yesterday retuning my car, using my ECM8000 mike, my USB i/f, my laptop and TrueRTA. I must have experimented with every different x-over setting and every different EQ setting and a good set of TA setting as well. I finally settle on something I could live with ...

Re: Tweeters blown question

Hey how do u install tweeters without them blowing when connected to an amplifier? I installed 2 small ones recently and they fried instantly wen i turned up the volume :D What size / type tweeter? You need to use a high-pass filter to protect the tweeter, but the specs of the filter will depend on...

Re: 149.7 @ 35 Hz -- Seans's CRX -- One NS 15

We plugged up one port hole in a box I had laying around the shop and dropped an NS 15 in there to see what would happen. Good times :) I think we've had too much fun this weekend. Very interesting results there. Looks like the vent exit is quite close to the rear of the car, and this might be load...

If you want to try something completely different - http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-833. For car use, vented would work, though I'd be tempted to go EBS or even 6th order BP.

No, it's not the same.

If you've got an old x-over handy, you may be able to find one in the tweeter section. Otherwise check the nearest electronics repair shop.
