Is there an update for the 80prs? The latest version of the firmware I see on the website is from 2013.

The Clef Labs 5 channel amp is a good option, especially as you plan on adding s sub later on. It's $3000 retail. Check the website for dealers www.cleflabs.com

Re: uwi - mechanical vs electrical and computer engineering

The IEEE requires that an engineering degree be 4 years. As the degree only requires 3 years to complete it's not recognized. UWI gets its accreditation from the IEE which is only recognized in the UK and I'm assuming colonial and ex-colonial countries. Most professional organizations don't actually...

Re: uwi - mechanical vs electrical and computer engineering

The IEEE does not recognize the Electrical and Computer Engineering degree from UWI. Additionally the level of which true computer engineering is covered in that degree is very limited. In short, if you're staying in Trinidad (or the Caribbean for that matter) then the Elec degree is fine. If you're...

There are free pieces of software available online that you can use to design your own enclosure. If you want someone else to do it for you, there's no shortage of options available.

Re: **Clarity vs "LOUD"**

to my surprise if you use enough of the FaitalPros they actually sound pretty loud and clean. Have used B&C before and have to say the Faitals are not that way off for the price. With enough EQ you can make anything have a flat response at a set volume level. Doesn't mean that it's going to be ...

Re: components/coaxial

Morel integras.... I took a look at the user manual on the site. The comps have a decent crossover, however there was no mention of a crossover on the coax. Leads me to believe that like with other manufacturers they are relying on the natural characteristic of the woofer to filter high frequencies...

Re: Recommend some components.

What's your budget for the Comps? That's probably the main deciding factor in the comps to get.

80-PRS is a good deck for a small system. I recently installed one in my own car. Matt and comps to be installed soon.

Now I am aware that many car audio tuners do this by ear and some more than others have it pretty close. However with electronics there is nothing like pretty close, it is DEAD ON EXACT. This is your first mistake right there. You can tune a system with a scope, and an RTA, but it will ALWAYS requi...

Check those stores that bring in clothes from the US to sell here. If there are sweaters that are damaged you'll get it cheap.
