just stumbled upton this thread,....wondering myself on what to do. more leaning toward the turbo build since i've already got the b18cr and mangmnt. eng could do with a rebuild and slight bore as well. BTW, about the custom manifold. Check "katurbobeast" i think thats his user name,.. any...
Scary, i know its an old post... But i was reading what happened. Me myself using the Power Fc. Hope the siht don't hit the fan with me. Used to get a knock around 50, then i turned up the inj time .02ms and it was reduced to about 28-33. It also brought my inj duty down from 100% to 96%. But if i w...
Just curious, are there any OEM pistons that i can use in the B18C Type R, that would raise the compression higher than the stock 11:1? Say if i were to use B16B pistons? Or would i have to go aftermarket?
Lol, reading ppl compare apples to oranges is hilarious. Always talking about why your car is better than the other. Every engine has its pros and cons. There's no boost to crank up on a 20V if u need a lil more power. But try racing a 20V on a circuit against a FTE. The FTE guy will be holding his ...
^^^, seems to me all 20V PCV valves give in after a while and need to be changed. Before u go changing rings and valve seals, i reccommend u make sure it's in good working order.
I'm going insane without a my rolla :( and I have too many parts for the AE90 corolla to go with sumthing elce. If anyones knows someone with an AE or EE90 hatchback corolla. do a tuner a favour and ask them if there selling it. 6784850 hell if u see some granny driving one....and you know that car ...
let me guess, you opened the oil cap and looked inside. Dude if thats the condition of the engine that you can see from a little hole. imagine whats going on inside and in the crank case. i've seen 20'v's in the bamboo i wouldn't touch with a 10ft pole. I've got a Complete Blacktop i'm thinking abou...
Recently crashed AE90 Corolla. Selling with owners rights and an un-touched 20V Blacktop. Perfect for a complete conversion into any corolla, plus a chit load of extra parts. Also the buyer will get EVERY toyota part i own unless there sold before hand. Which includes. Blacktop & silvertop Head. Sil...
By the way....The car is selling as damaged. I flipped it over the weekend,....i'm now doing up a post in the toyota and classified forums. Engine was untouched in the accident. all gears shifting no problem. no leaks nothing. perfect for a complete conversion. Springs are good, can't remember the b...
wow this topic is really old and outdated...
and it wasnt the con rod bearings, they were fine actually, the main crank bearing closest to the flywheel is what spun.
when did i give u a run?.. in what car were u driving?
EE90, Fabricated to fit 4AGE 20V Blacktop 5FWD (could also fit 4EFTE engine - it has two drivers side mounts just incase i decide to go FTE next rounds *which i dought*). Using Silvertop Flywheel and gearbox. Did all the work. Stock as a bone I tell you (besides exhaust) http://forums.trinituner.com...
Didnt have time ti read throught this extreamily long ass post....but..i see you have a ae90 with a blacktop, at first was giving some trouble. I have a EE90, same chassis, just had a 2E engine before not A series, but slapped in a blacktop reguardless with one mount shift. anyways the only problem ...
Well Im 80% sure its leaning out. Sunday mourning, I checked the condition of my plugs, Oh boy!. they were white and cruddy. Im not losing water, so its got to be lean mixture. Now just to find out why. I changed the FPR same day, so ill make a few runs and check the condition again. It can very wel...
I'm looking for an Oil pressure sending unit for the GT dash oil GAUGE. NOT the sensor for the light.....for a 20V Blacktop. I dought he'll know what im talking about, but... also looking for the cradle arm brackets that hold the front GT sway bar in place for a AE92. Its the ONLY bracket thats on t...
Ok, Ill check the wires, (although a code is usually indicated for shorts in TPS wiring), ill change the FPR and see if that solves the problem. If not, i guess ill have to take down the tank.
Its not the first time its done this. But because I hardley go on long runs, I dont get the problem so often. The ONLY thing that causes it, is when the rpm is kept steady for a long time. Once it starts to bog, the only way to resolve the problem is to back off the throttle. I did fill up in a diff...
Driving down south saturday night, I noticed a very strange problem. When crusing at say 4-5K rpm for a while (5mins). The car would suddenly start to bogg badly, untill i release the X and let the rpm drop a little then start accelerating again. When i noticed the pattern it was developing, I tried...
