Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

Does anyone know if a d22 zd30 gearbox bell housing can fit the 2wd yd25 gearbox?

Re: ZD30 or QD32?

If it's power, reliability and parts availability you looking at, you could try this if money is no issue. Look for a d22 4x4, trade whatever engine it has by Bamboo Marketing or Rama's for a QD32 Eti, swap the electronic pump for a TD27ti mechanical pump, carry the pump by the pump man down Princes...

Re: ZD30 or QD32?

Just something to note. If the zd30 frontier you're looking at had an engine change in the past, do some research on the engine and make sure the engine is for a d22 and not an e25 caravan or elgrand. The e25 zd has much lower power than the d22 and the elgrand's zd has a completely different wiring...

Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

I want to put one in a d22 but it seems no one knows about it. Garages accustomed to qd32na manual pump. I looking for an electrician who could wire it before i actually buy. Drove a d22 with one coupled to a wl tranny and that thing ran like it was about to be murdered. That van could have literall...

Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

The yd25 in my d22 is backpressuring and at the moment burns little oil. Van still drives daily though. Planning to put a zd30t and transmission soon so others at home can drive it. You guys think yd25 engine parts and the gearbox will sell?

Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

I know for sure that zd30 could work properly with the same bell housing as the qd. You could check george at 678 5511 as last week i was by him and saw a d40 yd head and block so he probably scrapping. I was looking for a local used turbo not too long and this guy had a navara scrapping 710 5529 al...

Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

Bamboo marketing have them the cheapest. 27 n/a starts at 6k and turbo at 9 for the engine only. Qd32 n/a starts at 7.5 and the eti at 10. The gearboxes kinda expensive tho, 6 to 7 k for the floor shift for both 27 and 32. Transmissions starting at 2k for both engines. My mechanic told me that if i ...

Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

Good evening guys. The yd25 in my d22 is back pressuring bad. The mechanic said approximately 16k to rebuild it. I'm kinda leaning towards a td27 or a qd32. Will a td 27 be able to pull that van good? Do you guys think parts like the ac compressor, head, injector pump etc will sell for the yd25?

cs3 trnsmission

Good day tuners. I recently bought a local cs3 with a 4g18 and cvt transmission. The car was a first owner and was serviced at diamond motors. Bought the car at 100k km and the car needed a service. I changed the engine oil, plugs, air filter, trans oil, all belts, timing belt, tensioner and the wat...

Re: power steering hose for f6 b1600

Okay so the wl hose wouldn't work but the guy gave me a high pressure hose from a 626. What he says is to trim off the metal lines and insert this hose in the center of my hose using fittings from eswil. Will go back at eswil today with the 626 hose and my pickup and hear what they say. Thanks man, ...

Spoke to a guy today. Said he knows someone with a crashed first model b2500 selling parts. Will check him weekend. If it's the proper length, i could weld my end fittings to it. Do you know if the p.steering pump on a wl engine is on the left or right?

Re: power steering hose for f6 b1600

Can't find an original hose that's why i made one. But can having no restrictor really do all that damage? Would a check valve of some sort work in this instance to ease hydraulic pressure?

power steering hose for f6 b1600

Good day guys. I recently installed p.steering in my f6 pickup and i had to make a high pressure hose by eswil as i could not find the original part. The steering box and pump is the original for the f6 pickup. While turning now i hear a hum. Was told by eswil after paying $700, it's the pump strain...

Re: 1986 Mazda B1600 Engine Swap

Dude you have to do what pleases your mind. If you think the p.up would be better if you changed the engine then change it. After all its you who have use it. The f8 is a good engine and parts are very available for it plus it can work with your gearbox with no conversion what so ever. Its not big p...

Did you rebore the block? Was the correct size rings used? Talked with a mechanic by me today and he was saying that almost all mazda f engines he worked on did not respond well to standard sized rings and it is best to rebore and go over sized like 10 thou or so. By the way the rf can also work wit...

Re: 1986 Mazda B1600 Engine Swap

Oh when looking for engines, you need to go to parts places and not call. They tend to not bother really unless your there. I know you said gas but the rf diesel is actually a good engine and does not require much fab work just 2 cortina mounts and the f6 oil sump.

Prabhu's have 2 f8 electronic ignition carbureted, hyperfas have a bp and bamboo marketing have 1 f8 fuel injected from a bongo panel van. You could try george from clarke rd next to the nagar, he suppose to get engines soon 678-5511. The f8 is the easiest to get parts for. But what work have you do...

Re: 1986 Mazda B1600 Engine Swap

If the van is in an original, local condition don't crossbreed it. These pickups hold a better resale value when left original. What engine do you have na or f6? Theres the f8 both electronic carbureted and fuel injected, the fe efi, the bp twin cam from the miata, the f2 efi and the g6(b2600). All ...
