Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

Went to Massey and asked for gear oil for my rear diff. Gave them my vehicle number, they pulled it up on their computer. I asked does it have LSD? They said "no, standard" . I was advised to use 80W-90 for the rear diff as that is what they use. Bought 3 quarts of Genuine Nissan 80W90, we...

Re: Tech Thread - Nissan Frontier, Navara, Pathfinder.

Massey has indicated that they use Castrol Syntrax limited slip 75w-90 in the Navara D40 gearbox. This is a GL-5/MT-1 oil. The manual says to use API GL-4. Manual Transmission: Grade API-GL4. Viscosity 75W-85 or 75W-90. Change interval 30000 kms. Volume required 2WD: 3.99 L; 4WD: 4.32 L Does anyone ...

Excellent thread. I've read through and learned a lot. Need a little assistance folks. Does anyone know how to replace the high mount stop light bulbs on the 2013 Navara 4x4 LE? I don't see anywhere on the inside headliner to access any nuts to release the high mount stop light assembly. I'm wonder...

Ended up dropping the headliner to get access to the bulb from inside the cab. Quite cumbersome just to replace a bulb.

Re: NZE121 Starting Problems

Try cleaning the MAF sensor and the throttle body. If the MAF is dirty, then it does not sense the correct amount of air flow. I had a similar issue and solved it by cleaning the MAF sensor. It was confirmed when checked the Short Term Fuel Trim and the O2 sensor voltage at WOT. A can of MAF Sensor ...

Underdrive pulleys on NZE???

Does it make any sense installing an underdrive crank pulley and lightweight alternator pulley on a 3zz-fe? Is there any adverse effect to the engine by using an UD crank pulley? i have seen these installed on the US 1zz-fe like wow, but have not been able to come across anyone complaining about it....

Give ryanair at trincity a call. You should find the number in the phonebook. Theya re a bit pricey though so call for a price. They know what they are doing but if it is just a gas up you looking for then you can ask around for a best price.

These springs come with rubber tubing to take care of this. mine made similar noise for a couple of days but once settled the noise was no more. Leave as is, if you getting noise after a week or two then jack up the car and ensure that the rubber is there or that it was not shifted during install.

W.T.K ZZE sway bars

Can anyone tell me whether the front and rear sway bars for the US corolla will work on the ZZE12* corollas? that is, the RORO 1.6 corollas?

Also, can anyone tell me whether the Altis chassis is the same as the US corolla? Are there major differences between the Altis and the ZZE/NZE chassis?

Driving early this morning the car shifted into OverDrive 10Km/h later than usual (OD usually at 130KM/h but this time it changed to 4th gear at 140Km/h). I shrugged this off and wanted to see if it would occur again. So at the next traffic light, when it was safe to proceed (green light and no vehi...
