Re: Mivec not coming on when car has warmed up

Good to know. Should still consider using a 10w40 with the Mivec. I use this body in Amsoil in mines and works great.

Mivec Fuel Pump and Exhaust Upgrade

Guys the fuel pump has been sticking and I'm looking to replace. What are your views on upgrading to a Walbro external and fuel pressure regulator. Also exhaust might be choking up a bit and thinking of running out 2 1/4 throughout, presently running 2". Do you think the gains are worth it? Veh...

Re: CK4 Lancer - 4G92 Mivec with Tiptronic Transmission

Good buy bro...can't go wrong but as with purchasing any previously owned vehicle have it properly assessed by your mech to ensure no major problems on the horizon. I have my Mivec 10 years already and no major problems...mines is manual though. Parts are scarce but to get them you will.

Re: Wtk 18" off road rims on Sportero...Pics Up!!!

Thanks for the thoughts, comments and ideas guys. Let me know what you all think. So far very happy with the buy. A little compromise on the ride as it is a tad bit stiffer and the aggressive AT thread pattern as compared to the stock Dunlop's but still comfortable. The look is amazing and exactly w...

Re: Wtk 18" off road rims on Sportero

Great feedback guys, thanks...keep it coming What is the exact size and offset I should look for to ensure no rubbing etc is incurred? Also are spacers advised on this application as I do not want much of a protrusion of the wheels? The rims that I am interested are these below: ROCKWELL Off Road St...

Wtk 18" off road rims on Sportero

Guys, need some advice...I am about to change original set of Dunlop AT tyres the vehicle came with but I have two minds about just buying new AT tyres for the stock 16" rims or put the bit extra and upgrade to some 18" off road rims on TOYO 285/60/18 AT tyres. My main concern is if I will...

Had this problem myself a while back...serviced/repaired solenoid and lifters and problem was sorted

Mivec functions better with 10w 30 Synthetic Oil, I am presently using Amsoil with good results.

Re: Any Mitsubishi L200 Triton fans out there?

Well the BEAST reach... I collected it from DM a few days ago and I am very impressed thus far...It takes a bit getting use to it's size and is a pain in the ras to park. Thank god for the freebie reverse sensors and turbo timer from DM. I have some plans to upgrade a bit but I find the prices for a...

Well it's off to DM/Bank to get me the 3.2 then...i'll let you know how it all pans out.

I was really considering the Sorento (4x4, Diesel, 7-seater) as opposed to the Sportero but I think the Sportero fits my immediate needs at the moment...I always have something to tote!!!

Re: Any Mitsubishi L200 Triton fans out there?

Thanks for the advice LH. I was thinking to go for some 18" or 20"'s Black or Gun metal just for the aggressive looks but as anyone knows me I am all about function and not form. I was quite convinced after reading your blog on the Sportero then to realize that you went with the Navarra. W...

Re: Any Mitsubishi L200 Triton fans out there?

Thanks for the great advice guys, any issues I should be aware of. The sales rep in POS told me that you can engage the 4H/4L while in motion. Is this true or it is designed to stop and engage??? Also should I stay with the stock rims/tyres or should I go slightly bigger as this will be a daily driv...

Re: Any Mitsubishi L200 Triton fans out there?

Hey guys wanted to get some feedback or thoughts on the 3.0 turbo diesel Colorado available from LM. It is however a bit more pricy than the other fully...

Re: :::CK4/CB MIVEC and MIVEC Swap Thread:::

Nice thread guys... The Galant VRG Rotors will work on the CK4/2 Mivec Lancers as I have swapped mine out with those already. I had the same hairline cracks on my front original rotors and had to change them out. Works perfectly. No complaints. I was thinking of upgrading to the slotted ones but the...
