Just bought some 0 gauge AudioPipe from Larry holder in El Secorro at $45.00 per yard looks like good quality wire to my novice eyes. by my measurement I got 9mm or approx 3/8 inch. without trying to compress the strands http://forums.trinituner.com/upload/AudioPipe%200%20Guage%202.JPG http://forums...

Would'nt the $2000 dollar clarion from Rovin work as a reasonable substitute here also? Clarion DXZ785usb ...$2000 http://forums.trinituner.com/forums/vie ... p?t=140206 - its a three way active front capable with TA. I actually read where the more important consideration is how wide the magnet is not how deep. See this link to an Emminence Pro Subwoofer http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdet ... er=290-570 note how wide and shallow the magnet is. Admittedly it is not an SPL monster - 400RMS power handling - pre...

it could be argued that without the frequency response curves of these two drivers that if you go active you may be a bit in the dark and end up relying on a seat of the pants approach. For example high passing the tweets - you may want to start experimenting at a cross over two times Fs as a starte...

Per Spec sheet on FH P8000BT Pio Head Unit

HPF = 12db /octave

LPF = 18db/octave

No mention if it is link/reilly type

Some of the older AudioControl used a 18db/octave slope eg 2XS concert series.

On the pioneer site AAC is listed as one of the formats that can be played by some of the mid to higher end units. You could try encoding to apple lossless and try it. Yes there is a chance of being ripped off - check the sellers ratings; dont buy from a first time seller; pay with PAYPAL (you'll have some degree of protection). The interesting quote (to me) was the one which said to the effect that - vented boxes were the most sensitive to leaks at the seams/cut-outs while sealed boxes had much more tolerance.
