Re: Anthony "Tony" Harford Dead

Anthony Harford was a media personality from the 80s, 90s and 2000s.

He was a sports reporter for TTT news after which he made his way into radio and served on stations such as 97.1 and 100.1.

Quite a very decent media personality and possibly a good role model for those in the media industry.

I have a foam cannon and truthfully, have found no discernible difference between using the form cannon or not. The vehicle still needs to be washed by hand as the foam does a pretty weak job at removal. Tried chemical guys, mother's, meguiars, and a couple of others and all meh. Agree that a light ...

He has a wide assortment of pumps in all sizes and brands and will give you good advice for what you need. I recently bought m...

Re: Buying TVs locally

But Duane, decoding through a TV and playing the new format audio through a TV speaker will never sound good or as good as through a dedicated HT setup. That is just a gimmick some of the TV manufacturers use to make a buyer feel their TV is best in class . TOSLINK is old tech also. The bitrate on T...

S_2NR My eyes are perfect. There is a great difference in quality based on viewing distance. 4k is more suited for closer viewing as your eyes don't see the pixels as much as they would on a 1080 at the same viewing distance. However, size and distance plays a huge part in image quality and that is ...

Agent Your requirements are very easily met with many TVs. I too will recommend Samsung and LG having personal experiences with each. A QLED Samsung is a good buy. You are not being a brand snob as this is a quality many, including myself have. This has come about due to our good life experiences wi...

Re: LF: Good printer for home

OP

My 7 year old Brother failed a few weeks ago and I needed a replacement printer asap.

Got a HP 6475 for $1100 from Wizz.

It's a multifunction, print, scan and copy. Only issue is that it does not accommodate legal size paper.

So far so good.

Re: Building a house in Trinidad

It's not so simple. At all points where the roof I-beam connects to the ring beam, there should be about two rebar left exposed in the ring beam each about 12". These are then wrapped around the I-beam and then both welded together to make the bond permanent. The same would apply if using chann...

The only blade used was the clearing blade which came when I got the wacker. Using a blade takes some skill because the bush tends to fall back on the wacker and, for me, got tangled up a few times in the head. Unlike the line which kicks everything away and clears as it cuts. anybody ever use them ...

Yup. There were some items on my wish list and I noticed that over the last few weeks the prices slowly increased and then they're now back to the price back when it was first added to the wish list. Typical tactic from Amazon. There are some good deals, especially on the Amazon devices and some cam...

Some Lutron caseta doesn't need the neutral and can work with the Lutron bridge. The trade-off there is that only a single caseta device will fit into the standard 2x4 cans. A labourer is about $300 per day. A good labourer who can do some masonry work may run about $400.

Cat lovers - serious question. Two of my neighbours adopted a few strays over the year. These cats have multiplied and there now about 6 cats. Folks living at the end of my street feed some more strays and of course, these are not leaving and they too multiply. None of these "owners" seem ...
