Re: Underbody wash

I've never used shock oil on my 15 year old Fielder. I bought it foreign used in 2014 and have put over 130,000 km on it since then. I've never had to change any suspension parts, and last month when I had it checked, they told me only the shock mounts and rear shocks will need replacing soon.

What issues were you having with the poly bushings that caused you to revert to rubber?

Re: how would u rate NP engine oils....

NP motor oil got a bad name back in the mid-1980s with it's "Superlube" line of oil. That oil came out around the same time Japanese front-wheel drive cars hit our local market. The engines in those cars had exhaust manifolds fitted to the front, causing hot air to blow onto the engines wh...

Re: The Official Mitsubishi PAJERO OWNERS thread

Good day members. I'm looking for a set of Pajero rims for my 1996 Pajero. I'd prefer OEM, but I'd also consider aftermarket that resembles the OEM. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Re: TOYOTA COROLLA AIR CONDITIONING ISSUES

While my compressor was being installed a woman with a 2 year old Kia Sportage came in to have her gas pressures checked. The a.c. tech told me he had to replace her evaporator a few days ago ..... 2 years old, imagine that. My co-worker had to replace his Nissan Sylphy evaporator after 3-1/2 years....

Re: TOYOTA COROLLA AIR CONDITIONING ISSUES

Since no one answered my question I went ahead and took the chance and got the compressor pictured above and it worked out great. It's a direct bolt on, the only modification needed was to heat the clamp on one of the lines and turn it around plus slightly straighten out the same line a bit. Althoug...

Is this the compressor being used to replace the one with the troublesome internal valve on the 2008 Fielder?

Yes, I have one and that's all I use. I tried a tankful of premium once and felt no difference whatsoever nor was there any difference in mpg.

I've been looking for the flare kit myself, but I don't think the roof rails will attach if the car didn't come with it.

Sounds like you need to take it to an electrician, it could be a blown actuator or a loose connection.

Re: Blubird Sylphy Owners club

If the car idles high after a diy tb cleaning simply disconnect the +ve batt terminal for 60 seconds and reconnect. Of course clock and stereo preferences will have to be reset (no scan tool needed for that).

Re: Blubird Sylphy Owners club

A co worker of mine had the same problem and took his to massy. It turned out there's a cabin air sensor that automatically switches the system to fresh air when the air quality is at a certain CO2 level. Well that's what they told him.

Re: Blubird Sylphy Owners club

Advancement in engine materials and engine oil technology over the years has led to less contamination and slower break down, so the oil lasts much longer. Some manufacturers even recommend 2 filter changes and 1 oil change PER YEAR. I'll stick to 10,000km to 12,000km though.

Re: Blubird Sylphy Owners club

Oil and filter change every 10, 000 km, iridium spark plugs and genuine Nissan coolant change at 100, 000 km, air filter, tb and injectors as needed. Run a redline fuel system cleaner in your tank every 5000 km and you shouldn't have to touch you injectors often.

My wife's local sylphy has developed the same startup sputter to the point where the remote start no longer works.
Other than that it runs fine.
