Re: Can Timing Belt Auto Spring Tensioner go bad??

UPDATE - After some research I found a list of part numbers for the engine.

https://partsouq.com/ru/catalog/mitsubi ... &group=230

Does anyone order their parts directly and know how to go about it. If I could cut out the middleman i could make out better.

Re: Can Timing Belt Auto Spring Tensioner go bad??

Yea so finally checked the compression. #1-250
#2-100
#3-240
#4-250

So two's definitely bent. 3 is within range but how do I see if it's slightly bent when I take down the head??

Re: Can Timing Belt Auto Spring Tensioner go bad??

Thanks a lot. It's the mivec so hydraulic adjusters I was referring too. I'll see if I get that OEM bolt an replace the steel one.smoother idle and nothing that sounds like piston slap so I guess I'm a very lucky individual.

Re: Can Timing Belt Auto Spring Tensioner go bad??

Thanks for the reply.I replaced the broken bolt with a black steel bolt and timed back the engine. It's starting with what sounds like heavy tappet noise but i have to check the compression to verify that valves aren't bent, in which case, i'd be very very lucky :|. Was just nervous about putting bac...

Re: Replacing engine in C62A lancer

CB model engines bolt up. Most likely you'll be going fuel injected, so that would be your main issue..Electrical wiring..Other than that, the change over is supposed to be straight forward. Like changing all your engine mounts at once..

Re: WTK what engine this extractor came from!!!!

hmmm..i advise you check your car and make sure the runners slope in the same direction as those extractors..I have a pair as well that can't fit on my CB because the slope next direction..I figure is a CB vs CK issue.

i hope you're not misunderstanding me..The bearing in the a/c is what needs to change..not the belt tensioner..But you say SKF should have a bearing i can put in the compressor right?
