Re: Port Forwarding, DNS, Port Configuration

Anything new on this? I am trying to use unblock us dns but the field to enter it in is greyed out. I then decided to disable dhcp on the modem and use another router I had to do dhcp and dns. That worked fine but whenever I did that the iptv from the set top box stoped working until I enabled dhcp ...

Re: HID Do's & Don'ts - The HID Lighting Tutorial

Hey, nah reflector retrofit is really unlikely. U won't be able to find a reflector that will fit in place of your reflector. While it is not impossible it is highly unlikely to be done. The projector retro will probably still give you better performance. Some other cars that come with factory HID's...

I tried out one today in a customers hilux. Not that same one but an led one similar. Full aliminum body with fan. Output looked juat as bright as hid's but I didnt get to test in the night. Might bring down a couple but going to test it first.

Re: HID Do's & Don'ts - The HID Lighting Tutorial

dreadman , If its Performance you want 4300k is the brightest and the best for rain, Thats what comes in vehicles with OEM HID. there is 3000k but its Yellow, more yellow than halogen, its good for fog lights. 4300k is good for rain, its white with a little yellow, white light is not good for rain.

"You get different colour temperatures from the HID lamp by tweaking the mixture in the arc tube. and perhaps the size and shape of the arc"

just read that in a forum

Re: HID Do's & Don'ts - The HID Lighting Tutorial

The strip might indicate what color it is but what determines the color is the different kind of salts that are inside the bulb itself. I read that somewhere already so dont quote me on it, but there is more of one kind of salt and less of another or something light that.

Re: IS HIDS ILLEGAL Not no long thing to read

if do a proper HID Projector Retrofit you should not get any problems as there will be no glare and you will get a wide uniformed pattern. Make sure its a RHD (Right Hand Drive) projector as well. Also dont go with anything higher than 6000k, i recommend 4300k or 5000k. i don't think anyone that did...

Re: HID Do's & Don'ts - The HID Lighting Tutorial

If you have the money, get some OEM stuff. Matsushita or Denso Ballasts and some osram or Philips bulbs. And not the cheap Phillips imitation bulbs, the OEM ones. Only problem with that is they don't make HID bulbs for bulb types like H4,H1,H7 ect. , you will only get for D2S D2R ect. Most other aft...

Re: HID Do's & Don'ts - The HID Lighting Tutorial

hmm fellas i have a quick question. i have a 2009 hilux and i got a pair of hids for my bday last month and when i got around to installing it (really easy cuz each plug has to match) they didn't work. i plugged in the plug from the car to the hid kit, the plug that sends the signal to the ballast ...

Re: HID Do's & Don'ts - The HID Lighting Tutorial

its birighter, even in fog lights it will dazzle drivers. If you have a proper HID Retrofit you wont dazzle or blind drivers. I currently have a 50w in me and my brothers Retrofitted headlights, does not blind at all seeing that no light goes above the cutoff. If you look under the cutoff well thats...

Re: HID Do's & Don'ts - The HID Lighting Tutorial

i think that picture is worst case senario, and if you aim it down it will help, but again it comes down to how well your car will handle HID's. Once you do a retrofit however the output will always be the same.

no that price is with HID's already fully installed. after that you enjoy the new Light that you have. if you want you can get your own HID kit and the price will be cheaper. The price is supposed to go up its still on introductory prices, so take advantage while you can. If you are interested you c...

police down here dont really know, if your headlights looking blue or blinding you then they will stop you. i have passed through alot of roadblocks with my 5000k retrofit and have not got any problems as yet. it just depends on the officer you get.

Re: HID Do's & Don'ts - The HID Lighting Tutorial

Syntax, i will sell the fx-r for $1100 for the pair. also have bulbs ect for it too.
as cinco said if u use any bulbs higher than 5000k it wont be very good in the rain. 4300k will be the best output thats why it comes on all factory OEM HID setups.
