On the north coast beaches I've seen a lot of black tips in less than 4ft of water... doesn't bother me at all but if only regular sea bathers knew what was in the water with them [emoji12]
Nice YFT... you don't see much of those in our waters but this year has been a special one so far... the only major predator that I haven't heard landed yet off the north this season is a blue marlin but I have a feeling it won't be long until we see one, and the amt of fish Ryan holdin' it might be...
You guys are going with the wrong charters.... Maybe trying to be economical??? Idk but you typically get what you pay for.... Mike from reel tackle is an excellent charter captain that will put you on good fish ( pelagics) but you need to spend ya $$$

Wicked reel mecalli, it's basically a torque LD 2-speed without the gold metallic finish and at 1/2 the price. I recently got a talica 20 but if I didn't get a good deal on that I would have gotten the fathom 40LD.... Let us know what you think when you get it.
Definitely not coconut wood although it looks similar from the top the end grain is nothing like coconut wood but more like a hardwood. Guys just wanted to know if anyone knows what type of wood this is? I found some recently and need some more to complete a project. The shiny one has some teak oil on it to help identify the grain.

This is a small teak table I made with a kreg pocket jig but I found that the screws caused the wood to crack and it isn't as solid a joint as I would like which is why I want to use mortise and tenon joinery for a large dining table I'm going to build next....
