^^ Correct is right CJ ASUS is legendary according to survey done on notebookreviews website. None can compare to ASUS. But as of late seems SONY and Acer is taking the lead strangely. This could be the fact that SONY and ACER sells more laptops than Asus. I have had a number of SONY Vaio fail me.

buzz , you can try getting a new Adapter or new battery. Sony has issues with power and screen flickering. Usually a new adapter can solve this problem and well a new battery. If you tried the laptop without the battery connected and still don't work you may want to try a new Adapter Hope this helps.

Boy I had a number of Sony Vaio laptops in the past and they had lots of problems. Check Amazon and you will see most Sony Vaio get one star and thing. But then again it has countless HP laptops that gone dead just like that in a year or 2. Only reliable laptops is Dell but Dell is ugly as firetruck.
