android is based off linux kernel, just as this im sure. since android already works perfectly with backtrack 5/ ubuntu running smoothly on my droid 4, i see no real interest here. :D as someone previously said, this runs natively on your hardware, bypassing the Java Virtual Machine used by Android...

Ok, fairly new to Android, but I've managed to root and unlock my Digicel GT-I9300.
I'm having the same issue as a previous poster where I'm unable to find firmware updates via Kies or otherwise, so I'm guessing I'll have to do it manually. Anyone know where the official firmwares for the I9300 at?
