Re: LF: Good welder to do burglar proofing

Good info here guys . Thanks for sharing. Yes I do plan to have one window with a burglarproof that can open. I know I will get bashed, but I really was planning to go with the flat iron 'french-style' as pugboy put it. So I always have to be on the look out for a crescent wrench wielding bandit? :r...

LF: Good welder to do burglar proofing

Looking for a good welder to do some burglarproofing work on my house.

However I need to know what type of steel is the best to use and why.

I understand the options are mild steel, galvanized steel and wrought iron.

Why use one over the other? How is cost affected by each choice?

Re: WTK: Home Air Conditioning advice needed

i doh pretend to know about air condition technology, but isn't the whole point of an inverter type unit is to prevent the cycling on/off of the compressor? The AC would just work continuously to maintain temperature and humidity. paid influencer, you are correct about how the inverter type system ...

Re: WTK: Home Air Conditioning advice needed

Average rooms with 10 ft ceilings, some western sun, some foot traffic, etc., at Trinidad's latitude and climate will follow the rule of thumb of 1 ton per 200 sq. ft. or 60 BTU/sq. ft. 9,000 BTU would work. 12,000 BTU may be a better choice because you are at the limit. Thank you all for your resp...

So... I'm in the market for a reliable mini-split inverter ac solution. I measured my room, did my calculations and the result was that I needed at maximum a 9000btu. However, when I began calling around to local AC contractors... the smallest cooling solution they had was 12000 btu. Why is it no on...

Re: RANT: I cant listen to this ANYMORE!

I agree...the new programming seems to be targeted to the millennial generation. So what? Is it only millennials that listen to radio in Trinidad and Tobago? No more 80s concerts? Children of the 70's, 80s and early 90s are people too!! :x We would like to go to a concert once in a while or hear so...

I hear you. But radio has a "randomness" to it you know? You never know what song is going to play next.

I'm here sitting and listing to the radio and really missing the old 95.1 The Best Mix. All now so I would have been hearing some good 80s music. Ever since they changed over to this 95.1 remix it's like the radio will be playing but I am not listening. I find this new format is real failure. I also...

Re: Question about S on vahicles

One example of how the S works, as someone explained to me is that if there is a one-way street that is stopping you from getting to your destination and it is not practical to pass on another route, then, only if you have this S, you are allowed to go in the other direction on this one-way street....
