Try one of the businesses mentioned in the first post of this page by NR8. If that fails, call 662-0374 and/or 645-9800. You could also try SS.

Re: The Mazda 3 thread

Hey good afternoon fellas anyone know where I can get coil overs for the 1st or the 2nd Gen mazda 3 What's your budget? You can get a cheap set for as low as $375USD, although I don't recommend them since they're not rebuildable and are generally poor (I won't even name the brand), or a set of KW C...

Re: The Mazda 3 thread

Limiter/Fuel cut. Your throttle body may be closing when you hit a predetermined speed. Never had this issue, but I don't go that fast very often. You can look into ECU flashing, but I don't know if it's possible with this car. Check out a piggyback like Unichip; costs around $400USD and you will ne...

You mean canards? Never seen them locally. Even with all the mods on my car I never considered these. Not convinced that they suit the car at all. If you do find some and install, it would be interesting to see how they look.

Re: Beware of what you buy!! My BP5 pain!!

The replacement parts you listed should be fine. Have a look at your existing oil pump as well to see if there is any unusual wear. I'd invest in one just for peace of mind. My mechanic advised this as well, so I got a new one. If the car was untuned then its normal for your IAM to be lower than 1 ...

Well the car is in the shop now. Valve stem seals were bad also, so a little oil was getting through and causing smoke when engine is cold. Pistons were fine and the block seems ok. Re: Beware of what you buy!! My BP5 pain!!

TCU is adaptive...so maybe the previous owner used to floor the car when the block was cold and the trans adapted by increasing line pressure..so now you would be experiencing these effects which may be undone by a simple reset of the learnt parameters All in all you shouldn't worry much..get the v...
