Just visited a mechanic who recommends that I remove the catalytic converter on my galant 4g94 engine to minimise carbon build-up and improve fuel economy. Any thoughts on this.

Need to change the O2 sensor in my GDI Galant 4g94 engine. Mech. says I need a 4 wire sensor. Anyone know where I can get good quality sensor? Does the brand matter Bosch etc.

Bobbys has in stock(in the bamboo). Cheaper type. Anyone purchase sensor from them?

Can anyone tell me where I can get an in-tank fuel pump for my 2003 galant gdi. I will also like to change the gas filter..the on near the gas tank. Any recommendations for a good gas filter.

:roll: Hi 2NRs I own a 2003 Galant VRG - GDI engine. Have owned it for just about one year without major problems. Over the last couple weeks my engine check light has been coming on periodically. Additionally my gdi indicator no longer comes on. Can't say if this started at the same time with check...
