Re: The Ultimate 1jz/2jz thread. all jz questions answered.

VVTI is the bomb !!! Wait you'll see....... VVTi is great. My T51R spools up almost 1000rpm faster than it would on the non VVTi. The biggest disadvantage with VVTi.....Drive by wire. The VVTi control map is also very complex and it's a very tough engine to get running properly. But once you get it...

what do you mean by smaller ratio, do you want a taller or shorter gear? I'm going to guess taller.

If you have a 4.3 i'm assuming it's manual??

the automatics have a 4.1, but it's not LSD.

and like rx80 said, most of the toyota helical diffs should work.

I've seen n/a cars actually lose HP as well with intake systems. Usually you want to stick to higher end intake systems that are properly tuned like HKS, Greddy, Apexi, etc. I'm not a big fan of K&N filters, any filter you need to clean will always be more restrictive after you clean it than when it...

my 2 favorites Manabu Orido and Nobuteru Taniguchi

They're both amazing togue and track drift drivers. Both drift SICK cars, Orido has his JZA80 as well as JZS161, and Nob drifts the HKS JZS161, S15, and Altezza.

Nob also holds the record for Tskuba time attack with the HKS CT230R.
