I have an extra box of new pads. I think that they have the small tab in the back. Schnider or is it silver, is a black box brand.

Re: Early morning /cold transmission delay in altezza

Transmission treatment cannot fix the real problem. If toyota remained with their trend through the years then most likely is a metal tranny oil filter. You can do a pan drop, buy a brake parts cleaner or a throttle body cleaner and clean the filter out and reuse it. The newer engines and tranny's w...

Re: Help. MY handbrakes always need adjusting.

I had similar problem, I bought new cables and greased the self adjusting sliding pins to the top. Getting a suitable high temp grease is the key. Works very good but pads don't wear evenly. I will buy brand name pads next time around.

Re: The new 7AGE build contributions welcomed

Hmmm, so the porsche timing belt boes not work on the 20 valve head. Ouche?
It works on the 16 valve head. To get this to work I need either a really big tensioner pulley or a belt which has 116 teeth.

'Daily News' Doctored Its Front-Page Photo from Boston Bombi

The New York Post was derided Tuesday for apparent inaccuracies in its reporting on the bombing at the Boston Marathon. And now, its rival tabloid, the Daily News, is facing criticism over an apparent photo touch-up. On yesterday's cover wrap, the News ran a photo taken by John Tlumacki of The Bosto...

Re: HELP - Toyota 7A gearbox repair

Simmons knows toyota gearboxes inside out and most importantly he has tons of parts so you get fixed on the spot. I'll pm his number. When my LSD unit started malfunctioning he puled it down and it had a piece of metal jammed inside. Up till now no probs.

Re: AE 100 5A engine cold start problem

Do not just start throwing parts at it without first logically trying to find the source of your problem. you would be wasting time and money. How long has this been going on? Did you do an engine swap recently? Is the engine check light wired and functions correctly? Is the check light staying on? ...

Re: The new 7AGE build contributions welcomed

After seeing two engine failures using fram filters on 4age 20 valve engines, I switched to genuine Toyota oil filters on d wifey car even though is a regular 4afe engine. The two engines starved for oil while being pushed hard by their owners. They were by my mechanic and when he picked up the filt...
