Received several failed attempts.
However, with the same CC, I ordered a 75foot cable and it should be here tomorrow.
Let's see if customs holds it for 2 weeks.
Monthly subscription payments are done with CC online in USD alone or are there other options?
Spoke to RBL, and they have not seen any subscription payments hitting the card or visa system. They did see the kit and accessories transactions and processed them.
They also reset the fraud alert on my card, and still, it failed to process the payment.
Message starlink via the App and just waiting for a response now.
The last set of accessories was delivered within a few days.
The system is working as intended, great speeds as well.

Another support person said to use only TTD, so I retried the original RBL, as well as an FCB. Still failed.
I asked them to clear all pending payments, and I will try again.
The pending payment are their system generated ones as well as the manual attempts I made.
Let see what their reply will be.

Starlink said it's a known issue, and they are working on it.ruff neck chicken wrote:I was told Scotiabank CC was accepted.
Maybe its more a bank issue than a Trinidad/Starlink issue.bgh wrote:Unfortunately, one sarlink support person suggests I use a USD card. Payment issue resolved on starlink's end and was visible on my last bank statement.bgh wrote:Starlink said it's a known issue, and they are working on it.ruff neck chicken wrote:I was told Scotiabank CC was accepted.

They said they wouldn't disconnect the service until it's resolved.

$2400 is much more reasonable, that including customs costs and the like?Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:Started seeing Starlink ads directed to Trinis in social media feeds today at a reduced cost for hardware TT$2400 vs the previous $3600 - subscriptions remain the same at TT$365/mo and TT$455/mo for roaming if you want to move around T&T with the dish
Seeing lots of bad reviews as place get overcast signal drops... Best case scenario 200meg down 20meg up 75—80ping.. Again best case scenario.. Anything outside that would be lower speeds and higher pings with packet loss... Sadly.. Hopefully in the future with upgrades tings get better..bluefete wrote:Is this worth it for internet connectivity at $365/month?
No 2 year plan / slave captivity like Amplia.
Does anyone have Starlink? Does it work okay?

It works great.
However for the cost and speed it's still cheaper to get Digicel/FLOW/Amplia/Greendot etc because there is no initial hardware cost and the monthly fee can be lower.
Starlink is really good for more remote locations that can't access fibre connections or if you want to move around with your high speed connection you can pay ~$450/mo for Starlink roaming and move your dish around with you or mount it on your car or boat etc

Possible. But I prefer it to be active, so fail over is automatic.redmanjp wrote:^ So can you pause Starlink service when u dont need it and avoid having to pay except for when the fiber is down?
