fantastic protection for home theater equipment and filters out noise too.
How much for that? Can it handle high powered equipment? Like about 600W or so?
Maximum Output Current 15 AMps (1800 Watts at 120VAC)
Price varies depending on the size and features like voltage regulation, noise filters etc.
there are rack mountable solutions as well for commercial audio professionals
Nice! Thanks, not seeing them to buy, guess I will have to go used?
My Hitachi failed 1 month after warranty finished. I have the 65"... Good news is that parts are readily available online... I repaired it myself... Failed power supply board.agent007 wrote:Hi guys, I know many of you all in here only deal with high-end home entertainment stuff but for someone who is not into this that much (don't really watch tv or play music) we needed to get a new tv and a home theatre system. We took a trip to Pricesmart and purchased:
Sony BDV-E4100 for $3,000.
Hitachi 55R80 for $5,000.
The HTIB system boasts 1000W through a 5.1 spread with WiFi N including smart functionality and BT/NFC/CD/DVD/BD/MP3/USB capability etc. Also the smart tv is 55" with 4K UHD resolution, HDR, 120Hz refresh rate and WiFi AC. Both items come with a 1 year warranty. We initially were thinking about buying the LG 60" 4K UHD smart tv for $10k at Standards then we decided to go PS and saw that we can sacrifice 5", get a home theatre system and save $2k. Do you all think it was $8k well spent or you think we purchased cheap refurbished rubbish and expect failure sooner or later?

Fans should pull hot air out. If in an enclosed cabinet, you can cut a hole and buy a small 4" vent fan and mount that to the hole. Some are 120VAC so you can power them directly with a switch to turn on or off or a trigger from the 12v V output of amp or receiver.randolphinshan wrote:Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:Get a Panamax

Any cooling options for AV receivers you can recommend. Do the fans have to blow hot air into the cabinet or suck hot air out?
